Lesson 12: Information Technology in Support of Student-Centered Learning

Reflection:
For me, if I choose between Student-Centered Learning classroom and Traditional classroom, I’d rather choose SCL classroom because I think this is more effective than TC. In the sense that, in SCL classroom students are more independent with their learning’s because they are the one that seeks or discover the information and share it to the class, even though it encourage a noisy environment, still there is a teacher who will facilitate the classroom and especially the one who is still more knowledgeable enough in the lesson. SCL is also helpful because it encourage a more fun and enjoyable environment wherein everyone can participate and can express their thoughts and ideas.

Lesson 13: Cooperative Learning with the Computer

Reflection:
In this lesson, students work together in a computer doing common learning task. Wherein everybody will have the chance to actively participate or can hands on in the computer for a certain group task. This lesson, stress the importance of the availability of the computer in certain school because in cooperative learning there should only be a small group so that everyone can participate in the task. And also, part of cooperative learning is that, everyone has the common goal to finish the task cooperatively wherein everyone is accountable and able to share their ideas to the group.

Lesson 14: The Software as an Educational Resource

Reflection:
The computer hardware will not be useful without the program or system that tells what the computer machine should do and this is called software. In this lesson, we were able to know how the computer works as well as identifying the parts of computer hardware and software and its individual function. And also, we’ve got to know it’s variety of application not only in education but also in business.

Lesson 15: Understanding Hypermedia

Reflection:

Hypermedia learning is a method of teaching in which students acquire new knowledge and skills in the course of designing, planning, and producing a multimedia product. By multimedia, we mean the integration of media objects such as text, graphics, video, animation, and sound to represent and convey information. In this lesson, I was able to experience how to make a Video Correl and Adobe Photoshop. This experience motivated me to pursue these new learned skills of mine because I found it very interesting and fun in spite of the circumstances I had been through just like I forgot to save it and I need to make a new one again within a short span of time but still I made it because I like what I am doing. In this experience also, I did use my creativity to have a simple yet creative outcome at the end of time.
